About the role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Operations & Maintenance team based at our Depot in Bairnsdale. In this position you will work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure the efficient operations and maintenance of below and above ground infrastructure across the Mitchell region.
The Network Operations team plays an essential role in ensuring the continuity of supply of water and sewer services to customers through both planned maintenance activities and reactive works, as well as assisting in operational improvements and efficiencies to meet customer expectations.
About you
The ideal candidate would have the ability to adopt and display East Gippsland Waters trademark values and behaviours, along with the commitment to providing a quality essential service to the community.
We are looking for someone with:
- A trade qualification, in plumbing, drainage, pipe laying, or civil construction
- Proficiency in the use of plumbing/water industry related machinery, hand and power tools
- Knowledge of pumps, potable water and sewer infrastructure is highly desirable
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- An aptitude for problem-solving
- A positive attitude towards personal and professional development
