About the role
The SCADA and Digital Project Manager will initially work within the Digital Transformation team before transitioning to the SCADA team once major SCADA and digital initiatives are delivered. The role leads complex technical projects to modernise, secure and integrate EGW’s SCADA (OT) and ICT environments, ensuring operational resilience. It requires deep expertise in SCADA systems—including architecture, PLCs, RTUs, and cybersecurity—as well as responsibility for delivering ERP upgrades and digital transformation initiatives in line with EGW’s project management standards.
The position provides leadership across TechnologyOne and SCADA enhancements, ensuring objectives and benefits are clearly communicated. It manages project risks, dependencies and mitigations while keeping delivery on track and within budget. The role also oversees cross functional teams, vendors and contractors to maintain high‑quality outcomes, strong documentation and consistent alignment with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge of SCADA platforms, architecture, PLCs, RTUs and cybersecurity.
- Strong experience delivering digital and ERP upgrades, including TechnologyOne.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and IIoT integration across OT and ICT systems.
- Proven leadership in project delivery, stakeholder engagement and change management.
- Advanced skills in risk management, mitigation planning and financial control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, vendors and contractors effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Lead SCADA and digital projects using EGW project management frameworks.
- Manage schedules, budgets, scope, risks and reporting across all initiatives.
- Use dashboards and analytics for planning, tracking and decision support.
- Mentor teams and build capability for new systems, tools and processes.
- Oversee procurement, vendor management and contract compliance.
- Diagnose SCADA issues and plan system upgrades and lifecycle improvements.
- Maintain SCADA standards, documentation, alarm frameworks and governance.
- Support safety, cybersecurity readiness, disaster recovery and continuous improvement.
