About the role
The Strategy Advisor supports the development of EGW’s internal strategies, business cases and price submissions by coordinating inputs, assisting with financial modelling and cost‑benefit analysis, and preparing evidence‑based documentation. The role also oversees price submission monitoring and annual ESC performance reporting and audits, while contributing to customer and stakeholder engagement and facilitating information sharing on emerging technologies and research initiatives. It further provides analytical and reporting support across the business, including data analysis, dashboards and regulatory reporting.
Working collaboratively across EGW and with external agencies, the Strategy Advisor helps shape long‑term strategic planning, prepare periodic price reviews and monitor associated performance measures. The role is expected to demonstrate strong financial and business acumen, apply problem‑solving skills to new and evolving situations, and uphold EGW’s commitment to ethical, sustainable, inclusive and equitable practices in all aspects of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor external developments and support strategic planning across EGW.
- Assist with business cases, procurement strategies and options assessments.
- Support stakeholder and customer engagement for strategic initiatives.
- Support strategy development through templates, guidance and cost–benefit analysis.
- Manage ESC price submission KPI monitoring, reporting and annual audit.
- Coordinate inputs, modelling reviews and consultant engagement for price submissions.
- Provide Board and Committee reporting for price submissions and ESC measures.
- Represent EGW at community, customer and industry engagement events.
- Act as a conduit for research, innovation and new business opportunities.
- Analyse data, develop dashboards and improve reporting efficiency.
